Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Habitmatch mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

This document is provided as a starting point and is not legal advice. Because Habitmatch includes user-to-user messaging and AI features, have these Terms reviewed by a qualified professional (or a compliance service) before public launch.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Habitmatch. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@habitmatch.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use and community conduct

Habitmatch connects you with accountability partners and lets you exchange messages. When using the Service, you agree that you will not:

We provide tools to report or block other users. We may review reported content and take action, including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts, at our discretion.

4. User content

You retain ownership of the content you create (such as your habits, notes, and messages). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service — for example, showing your progress to an accountability partner you are matched with. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for your interactions with other users.

5. AI features

Habitmatch includes an optional AI accountability buddy. AI-generated responses are provided for motivational and informational purposes only, may be inaccurate, and are not professional medical, psychological, financial, or other advice. Do not rely on AI output as a substitute for professional guidance. See our Privacy Policy for how data is processed by our AI provider.

6. No professional advice

Habitmatch is a habit-tracking and accountability tool. It does not provide medical, mental-health, or professional advice. If you are dealing with a health or mental-health concern, consult a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Habitmatch and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including any interactions or disputes between you and other users.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
